Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares has completed his medical at Marseille and is about to leave the Gunners on a season-long loan deal.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Tavares will join the French club on loan from Arsenal in the summer transfer window for the 2022-23 campaign.
Marseille will cover the salary of the Portuguese left-back and do not have any option to make the deal permanent next summer, according to Romano.
Nuno Tavares to leave Arsenal for Marseille on loan

Loan exit makes sense
In our view, it makes sense for Nuno Tavares to leave Arsenal for Marseille on loan for this season.
Kieran Tierney is the number one left-back at Arsenal, who have signed Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City this summer.
The Ukraine international can operate as a left-back or in midfield.
So, when Tierney is injured and/or unavailable, then Zinchenko could fill in for the Scotland international at left-back.
Tavares would have struggled for playing time at Arsenal this season, while at Marseille, he could become a regular.
Marseille will also play in the UEFA Champions League next season, and that must be really exciting for Tavares.
