Media praise for Liverpool and Uruguay striker Darwin Nunez

The Liverpool no. 9 set up the opening goal for Nicolas de la Cruz late in the first half.

Then on 71 minutes, Nunez provided the assist for the midfielder’s second goal of the match.

ESPN Uruguay noted about Nunez: “The Liverpool striker was one of the most outstanding players for a Uruguay team in which Valverde, Manuel Ugarte and De la Cruz played at a high level and took over the midfield.”

The report added: “Darwin Núñez played a good game and despite the fact that he could not convert, he was always present.

“They were surprised at the way he gained in power. They couldn’t control it.

“He missed the goal, but he was a team player who generated, showed himself and even provided goal assists.”

Uruguay striker Darwin Nunez will come good for Liverpool

We believe that Darwin Nunez will eventually explode for Liverpool and start banging in the goals for fun.

Nunez is doing everything right at Liverpool.

The problem is that the 24-year-old Uruguay international striker is not scoring goals for the Reds on a regular basis.

However, Nunez is showing some very promising signs now.

The 24-year-old has scored two goals and given one assist in one start and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool so far this season.

Nunez scored nine goals and gave three assists in 19 starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Reds last campaign.
