Tottenham Hotspur have a host of players in international action this weekend, and one of them impressed on Saturday night.

Defender Sergio Reguilon featured for Spain in their clash with Switzerland, though he didn’t come away with a win.

Switzerland took the lead through Remo Freuler, but went down to 10 men as Nico Elvedi was given his marching orders.

Spain took advantage, with Gerardo Moreno burying a late equaliser – and it came from a superb Reguilon cross.

The Spurs left back made a great run up the flank, before picking out a fine cross for Moreno to bag a much-needed goal.

Spurs fans have already seen the attacking thrust Reguilon can provide, and the Spaniard earned praise from his home media for his performance.

Marca called Reguilon’s assist ‘fantastic’, praising him for showing his speed and advanced attacking play whilst calling him ‘very attentive’ even outside of his assist and suggesting that the left back spot is now Reguilon’s to lose.

AS called Reguilon’s assist a ‘dagger’, and praised his set piece delivery – something that Jose Mourinho may well be looking for him to use at Tottenham.
