Rangers have sent a number of players off on international duty, and one was in action on Sunday.
Defender Filip Helander started for Sweden in their 3-0 win over Kosovo on Sunday evening, playing the full 90 minutes.
Helander formed a centre back partnership with Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof, and helped prevent Kosovo from recording a single shot on target.
Helander now appears to be ahead of Brentford’s Pontus Jansson in the pecking order, and a starting role at the European Championships seems to be on the cards.
So what have the Swedish press made of Helander’s display?
Well, Expressen praised Helander for winning every duel, whilst Svenska Fans suggested that he didn’t put a foot wrong and is the ideal partner for Lindelof.

Aftonbladet suggest that Helander has put real pressure on Jansson, and Fotbollskanalen praised him for how he won most of his aerial duels against Kosovo’s dangerous striker Vedat Muriqi.
Rangers will be delighted with Helander’s form, but there is a potential negative here – potential interest in him this summer.
Aftonbladet claim that Aston Villa and Leicester City both want to sign Helander, and strong performances at the Euros this summer could just leave Rangers fighting to keep the centre back at Ibrox.
