Media not impressed at all with £175,000-a-week Tottenham player

Richarlison has not had the best of times at Tottenham Hotspur, and it seems that his poor form for Spurs is affecting him when he is playing for Brazil as well.

Seleção hammered Bolivia 5-1 in the 2026 World Cup qualifier.

It was an easy win for Brazil.

Former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar, who is now at Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal, scored two goals.

Real Madrid forward Rodrygo also found the back of the net twice.

Barcelona winger Raphinha scored once.

Richarlison led the line for Brazil in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

The Tottenham forward was taken off for Matheus Cunha in the second half.

According to The Daily Express, Richarlison was in tears on the bench after coming off.

It was a very poor performance from the 26-year-old, who failed to take a very good chance.

As noted by The Daily Mail, Richarlison was just six yards out from goal.

It was an extremely easy chance for the former Watford and Everton forward to score.

Richarlison could not keep his effort on target.

Goal gave the the £175,000-a-week (SalarySport) Tottenham forward a rating of 4 out of 10 for his performance for Brazil against Bolivia.

The report noted: “Very, very quiet day from the Tottenham man.

“Just 15 touches overall and never really got involved while the other attackers around him were all buzzing and skied a great chance.”

Pundit Feed rated Richarlison’s display as 5.5 out of 10 and noted: “The main threat in the box, lively but unable to find a goal missing two big chances – was in tears on the bench.”

Richarlison in bad form for Tottenham and Brazil

Richarlison has not been at his best for months now.

The 26-year-old has not scored in four Premier League appearances for Spurs this season.

The Tottenham no. 9 made 12 starts and 15 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Tottenham last season.

Richarlison scored one goal and gave three assists in those games.
