Ivan Perisic has thanked Neymar Jr for acknowledging his son after Croatia knocked Brazil out of the Qatar World Cup, as the Tottenham player posted on Instagram.
After the full-time whistle, Neymar was in tears after Brazil’s penalty shootout heartache and he was being consoled by Dani Alves on the pitch.
A young child, who turned out to be the son of the Tottenham summer signing, was seen waving and proceeding to go over to console the PSG superstar himself.

Neymar hugged the young child before walking away, with that moment captured and going viral all over social media.
On Saturday, Perisic posted a clip of that moment and the versatile Tottenham star, who will now be preparing for a semi-final clash against Argentina, sent the following message to Neymar.
“Thank you,” said Perisic. “Means a lot to him.”
PERISIC GOING STRONG
In 2018, Croatia reached the final in Russia before losing out to France in extra time, with that very same opposition on the other side of the draw in Qatar.
France knocked England out of the quarter-finals of the World Cup when Harry Kane’s penalty skied well over Hugo Lloris’ bar on Saturday, and whilst it was joy for one Tottenham player, it was heartbreak for another.
But, just like four years ago, Perisic could land himself in a World Cup final and this time against his now-Spurs teammate in Lloris, that’s if the duo see past surprise packages Morocco and South American superpower, Argentina.
