Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic are among a number of clubs linked with John McGinn, with Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers, Leeds United, Sunderland and West Ham United also reported to be interested in the Hibernian midfielder.

Ibrox outfit Rangers and Leeds in the Championship in England want the Hibernian midfielder, according to The Scottish Sun, which also claims of Sunderland’s interest in the 23-year-old, while The Daily Record has reported that that West Ham and Aston Villa are looking at the former St Mirren star.

Celtic are also interested in the 23-year-old midfielder, according to The Scottish Sun, which reports that Hibs value the Scotland international at £5 million.

Former Hibernian forward Tam McManus has suggested on social networking site Twitter that McGinn would be a good signing for Celtic, and that the midfielder would improve working with Rodgers at Celtic Park.

McManus has also claimed that McGinn would be an upgrade on 26-year-old Scotland international midfielder Stuart Armstrong, who is on the verge of a £7m move to Southampton in the Premier League in England, according to BBC Sport.
