Tottenham face Real Madrid in Group H of the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Steve McManaman has told Spanish newspaper Marca that he would forget about signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane if he was in charge at Real Madrid.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side face the Spanish giants in the Champions League on Wednesday night, as the two sides lock horns with the prize being qualification for the last 16 after Christmas.
The Daily Mirror claims Zinedine Zidane is a big fan of the 24-year-old striker and is interested in teaming him up with former Spurs stars Gareth Bale and Luka Modric at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, former Liverpool Real Madrid midfielder McManaman claimed that he would ignore signing Kane and look to lure a younger player such as 18-year-old Kylian Mbappe to Madrid.
He believes Kane would cost a huge €200million, and that would tempt him to look elsewhere if he was calling the shots at Real.
“No [I wouldn’t sign Kane],” McManaman said. “I would prefer to sign a young boy like Mbappe. It would be very difficult to sign Kane, the price of footballers today is crazy, you would need €200million.”

England international Kane is expected to return to the Tottenham starting line-up after missing Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United with a hamstring strain that he picked up against Liverpool.
With Borussia Dortmund and APOEL Nicosia on just one point in Group H and Spurs and Real on seven points, the winner at Wembley on Wednesday will gain a place in the last 16.
