The winger has had a frustrating start to his Sunderland career

Callum McManaman has endured a difficult start to his Sunderland career, but the winger will hope to make a major impact for Chris Coleman’s side in the remainder of the campaign.
Signed from West Bromwich Albion last summer, McManaman has been unable to perform consistently for a struggling Sunderland side that is currently bottom of the Championship table.

McManaman has yet to score for the Black Cats in the Championship, while he has only provided two assists, and his overall impact in games has often been negligible.
However, after a short spell out of the side, McManaman will hope to now really push on and establish himself as an important player for Chris Coleman’s team as Sunderland strive to avoid relegation.

When at his best McManaman is capable of causing all manner of problems for opposing defenders with his pace and directness and if he starts playing with confidence then his performance levels will surely improve significantly.
Given the situation that they find themselves in, Sunderland need to make the most of all of the resources at their disposal if they are to have a chance of staying up and getting the best out of McManaman could be crucial in that regard.
