Aberdeen manager got the better of Rangers’ Steven Gerrard.

Rangers were beaten 2-0 by Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup quarter final last night.
It meant Steven Gerrard is likely to finish his first season in management at Rangers without a trophy.
Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes is still expecting Gerrard to have future success at Ibrox.
McInnes told the Daily Record: “It’s a real setback for them but I’m sure they will come back from it, Steven is a young manager who will go and do really well here.
“It’s a sore one for them tonight but for us it was a case of trying to take on a good team in a certain way.”

Aberdeen took full advantage of Rangers’ errors and defended well.
Rangers have now been knocked out of both cup competitions by Aberdeen, and Derek McInnes does not look to be going anywhere.
Gerrard must find a way to get the better of the Dons in big games next season.
It is likely there are several personnel changes in the summer as Gerrard will look to ship out the under-performers and try to strengthen the Gers.
