Derek McInnes would be under pressure as Rangers boss particularly due to comments he made about the previous man at Ibrox.

An approach from Rangers was confirmed by Aberdeen this week, and denied, but the uncertainty drags on.
McInnes is the clear bookies favourite to replace Pedro Caixinha… and comments he made about the previous Rangers boss could make his own job more difficult.
McInnes expressed his frustration with Caixinha earlier in the year, after a public falling out with the ex-Rangers manager.
He labelled Caixinha’s perormance as ’embarrassing’, because he failed to finish second in the Scottish Premiership.
He told SkySports: “The job of Rangers manager is to finish above Celtic and he should be more concerned about that challenge. Any team that finishes above Rangers in the league, with the budget they have, is doing their work well.
“They should probably be embarrassed that they have not finished second and I am confident that any Premiership manager, with the budget that Rangers have, would finish second in the league.”
Rangers are currently level on points with Aberdeen, a position they have clawed back to thanks to two wins over McInnes’ side.
It is delicately balanced for the remainder of the campaign… and McInnes cannot afford to finish below the Dons if he takes over at Ibrox.
McInnes will be under major pressure, and his comments could backfire early on in what will be a transitional year for the Gers with another managerial change.
