Ross McCrorie has wowed Ibrox fans with his breakthrough displays in Rangers first team.

McCrorie, 19, has starred in Murty’s side since the caretaker boss adopted a diamond formation which sees Rangers’ number 40 sit at the base of the midfield, shepherding the space between the midfield and the back four.
He has quickly become a fans favourite during his 15 league and cup appearances this season, and has even scored his first goal for the club in a 3-0 win over Partick Thistle at Ibrox.

The five-time Scotland Under-21 international claimed his twin brother and goalkeeper Robby McCrorie, midfielder Jamie Barjonas and striker Zak Rudden are all boasting the qualities that can see them follow McCrorie into the senior side.
“I have to say Robby,” McCrorie said, when asked who is your tip to follow in your footsteps for club and country? “He’s been doing really well on loan at Berwick and just has to keep working hard. His time will come.
“Beyond that, Jamie Barjonas has been involved with Scotland squads before and has been in and around the Rangers team recently. Zak Rudden is another one who is getting better and better too.”

Robby, also 19, is currently on loan with Berwick Rangers, where he has kept two clean sheets in 12 league and cup outings. Barjonas, 18, started alongside McCrorie in the Gers midfield on Wednesday night, as Rangers beat Hibernian.
At just 17 years of age, Rudden is McCrorie’s third choice with the youngster yet to make a senior appearance for Murty’s side in his very short career. However, he is already in the Gers’ Under-20 side and could soon find himself knocking on the door.
Rangers continued their excellent form with McCrorie instrumental once again, as Josh Windass and Alfredo Morelos scored a quickfire double to cancel out Lewis Stevenson’s opener and beat Hibernian 2-1 at Easter Road.
