Ibrox teen Ross McCrorie could miss Rangers’ trip to Hibernian.
Graeme Murty will have plenty of selection decisions to make after informing fans in his Rangers press conference on Tuesday afternoon that Ross McCrorie could miss Wednesday night’s clash against Hibernian.
McCrorie, who won the Rangers player of the month for November following his breakthrough into the side under interim manager Murty, is a doubt for the match with Murty unwilling to risk the 18-year-old.
It leaves the 43-year-old caretaker manager with little options in the middle of the park, as Graham Dorrans remains sidelined and Ryan Jack is set to serve the second game of a three-match ban.
Murty was quoted by the official Rangers Twitter account as saying that McCrorie could miss the trip to Easter Road, stating they will make a “decision closer to the game”.
Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to have their say on who should replace teenage ace McCrorie, with the majority stating that they would like to see fellow academy product Jamie Barjonas earn a call-up.
One fan even claimed that Barjonas’ physicality is just what the Gers need against a robust Neil Lennon side, stating the 18-year-old is “strong in the tackle”.
