Ross McCormack has not played a single Championship match for Aston Villa this season.

Ross McCormack may not be anywhere near the Aston Villa squad at the moment, but the former Rangers and Leeds United striker could be £1 million richer in a few weeks’ time.
According to The Mirror (Transfer Live blog, 10:35pm, April 28, 2018), McCormack will receive a £1m bonus should Villa achieve promotion to the Premier League for the 2018-19 campaign.

The Villans are set to finish in the top six of the Championship this season and will aim to win promotion to the top fight of English football via the playoffs.
McCormack has not played a single league game for Villa this season, having had a loan spell at A-League club Melbourne City earlier this campaign.

Future uncertain?
McCormack’s current contract with Villa runs until the end of the 2019-20 campaign, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, but it is hard to see him remain at Villa Park next season.
The Scotland international striker has failed to impress Villa manager Steve Bruce, and it is very likely that the 31-year-old will be moved on on a permanent basis in the summer transfer window.
The former Rangers and Leeds striker has been on the books of the Villans since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Fulham for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £12 million.
