Grant Hall played 45 minutes of QPR’s behind-closed-doors friendly against Swindon Town on Tuesday

Queens Park Rangers manager Steve McClaren has admitted that Grant Hall will feel like a ‘new signing’, after the defender played the first-half of QPR’s friendly over Swindon Town on Tuesday.
The behind-closed-doors fixture was played at the R’s Harlington training ground and Hall made his long-awaited return after seven months out injured. McClaren will have been delighted to see him come through unscathed.
The 57-year-old is also hopeful of adding two or three fresh faces before the window closes, and Hall could be one of them: “I think we just need to add two or three quality players, of which one I hope will be Grant Hall. He would be like a new signing if he does come in”, McClaren told West London Sport.
The Hoops ran out 3-2 winners on Tuesday afternoon and fans of the west Londoners will have been delighted to see Hall return to action. The 26-year-old has been a favourite with supporters since signing in 2015.

Renowned for his competitive displays, Hall will be looking to take a cautious and steady approach as he works on his full comeback. The former Tottenham Hotspur hopeful suffered a knee injury and underwent surgery in February.
This Saturday’s opening Championship game will have come too soon for Hall but with the correct training and monitoring, the R’s centre-back will be back donning the famous blue and white jersey again in no time.
