Right-back: Hector Bellerin, Arsenal
Is there a better right-back in England right now? Hector Bellerin has shown precisely what he can do both in attack and defence, acting as an auxiliary winger offensively and offering searing pace to get back and, at times, cover more than just his own position in defence.
Centre-back: Toby Alderweireld, Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs’ recent poor form shows just how much they need Toby Alderweireld back in action. His partnership with Jan Vertonghen has been a bastion of stability for Tottenham since last season and his exceptional displays have carried over into this term.

Having had to bond with two new centre-half partners already – both of whom are new to the league – it is a testament to Laurent Koscielny’s talent that he has managed it without seeing his own performances drop below his exemplary standards.

One of the most improved players in the Premier League of the last couple of years has been in scintillating form this season. Danny Rose has been marauding forward this season with his characteristic verve and pace, giving yet another string to Spurs’ attacking bow.

Despite a difficult start to the season for West Ham, Michail Antonio has been one of their rare bright sparks. A utility man with an eye for goal, Antonio’s industry and work ethic has been one of the few things keeping the Hammers going.

Central midfield: Victor Wanyama, Tottenham Hotspur
With Vincent Janssen and Moussa Sissoko enduring poor starts to their Tottenham careers, it’s been up to Victor Wanyama to pick up the new signings’ slack at Spurs. He has done just that, putting in a series of commanding central midfield displays.
Central midfield: Mesut Ozil, Arsenal
Having spent his career as an assist maestro, Ozil has now added goals to his game and is arguably in his most fruitful purple patch of his career. Goals and assists in all competitions make this man the best creative player in London this season.
Left midfield: Eden Hazard, Chelsea
The Eden Hazard of 2015/16 has disappeared and been replaced by the one who was named 2015 PFA Player of the Year. The diminutive winger has been in explosive touch of late and is flourishing with the freedom given to him by wing-back Marco Alonso.
Striker: Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal
The Chilean has had a fantastic year for his national side and is now replicating his outstanding form in his new centre-forward role for Arsenal. With six goals and three assists, his fluid movement has made him one of the most productive players in the league.

The league’s top scorer and quite simply one of the most clinical players in the division. While many do not like him for his on-field demeanour, it has been his dominant centre-forward displays which have caught the eye this campaign as he’s racked up nine goals already.
