Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are waxing lyrical about Mateusz Musialowski – and rightly so.

The 17-year-old attacker helped Liverpool’s Under-18 side into the final of the FA Youth Cup last night.

The Reds edged out Ipswich Town 2-1 to reach the final.

And it was Musialowski who got Liverpool back on level terms after his second-half equaliser, before Melkamu Frauendorf snatched a late winner immediately after coming off the bench.

This was Musialowski’s latest impressive offering after his summer move to Liverpool last summer.

He has been lighting up youth games all season and also scored in the previous round against Arsenal at Anfield.

With the likes of Harvey Elliott in the ranks, the Anfield club have a few very talented lads in the ranks, but Musialowski seems to be right up there.

And here’s how Liverpool fans reacted to his latest showing against Ipswich:

It’ll be interesting to see what the club’s plan for the young Pole is going forward.

Obviously it’s too early to even consider senior football on Merseyside, but he’s the same age as Elliott when Liverpool loaned him to Blackburn Rovers last summer.

And considering the 18-year-old has ripped up the Championship this past season, it may well give the Reds the confidence to try repeat the trick with Musialowski.

For his age, he’s a level above the rest and a year in the second tier could do absolute wonders for his development.
