Kylian Mbappe has revealed that he’s a major fan of Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah.

With 22 goals in 25 games across all competitions this season, Salah is on course to record another frightening campaign for Liverpool.

There was outrage among supporters of the Anfield club in November when their go-to-guy only managed to place seventh in the Ballon d’Or stakes.

There’s a feeling that it wasn’t an accurate measurement of how brilliant the Egypt international truly is.

But even the Paris Saint-Germain sensation is a supporter of the Liverpool player, claiming that he loves to watch.

He said via The Echo: “To talk about Mohamed Salah, he’s one of the best players in the world. He makes the difference and I love to watch him play. He is a great player.”

Meaningless

To be honest, Salah will of course want to win individual awards.

But they’re sort of meaningless if he helps Liverpool to the biggest and brightest team accolades that football has to offer.

Since joining for £44 million, the 29-year-old has helped Jurgen Klopp’s side to a Champions League and Premier League title in back-to-back seasons.

And it’s unlikely that the former Roma and Chelsea winger would trade either winner’s medals for a Ballon d’Or, for instance.

It’s clear that Salah is not the seventh-best player in football and that it’s much higher, but if he continues to perform for Liverpool then really, who cares?
