Evan Ferguson has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe’s comments on the Brighton and Hove Albion striker show just why.
Ferguson is having a wonderful season for Brighton at the moment, and the Republic of Ireland international striker has been so good that Tottenham and Manchester United are interested in him.
The Sun have reported that Tottenham, United and Chelsea all want to sign the 18-year-old striker from Premier League rivals Brighton in the summer transfer window.
Described as a “superstar” by former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder Danny Murphy on BBC Sport, Ferguson has made five starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Brighton and Hove Albion so far this season.
The 18-year-old striker has scored three goals and provided two assists in those games.
The youngster has scored three goals in four FA Cup ties, and scored one goal and given one assist in two Carabao Cup matches this campaign.
Ferguson could start for the Republic of Ireland against France on Monday.
The teenage striker has scored one goal in three matches for the Republic of Ireland.
Mbappe, who is one of the best players in the world and won the 2018 World Cup with France, has made it abundantly clear that he considers Ferguson a threat.

“It’s his first season as a striker, an important striker for that team.
