Celtic face losing star striker Moussa Dembele to Villarreal but could find a ready-made replacement in Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho.

Celtic were always likely to struggle to keep hold of a top talent like Moussa Dembele for long, and there’s been a worrying development ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
According to the Daily Express, the Frenchman is being lined up by Villarreal as a replacement for Cedric Bakambu, who left the club in January.
Dembele, 21, has a fine record of 47 goals in 85 appearances for Celtic and will be tough to replace, though there’s a similarly talented young forward currently being overlooked in terms of first-team action in the Premier League.

That man is Kelechi Iheanacho, whose career has surprisingly failed to kick on since he first broke onto the scene at Manchester City just two years ago.
The Nigerian managed 21 goals despite limited playing time for City, actually finishing as their third highest scorer in 2015/16 and netting the winner in the Manchester Derby the following season. In total he has 35 goals in 99 appearances for club and country despite his age and lack of starting opportunities – a tally that could soar higher at Celtic Park.

Now warming the bench for Leicester City, Celtic could surely lure the 21-year-old away either on a loan move or for a perfectly affordable transfer fee.
Brendan Rodgers knows how to get the best out of strikers as he’s shown throughout his career, so the Hoops can present Iheanacho with the perfect opportunity to revive his career in Scotland.
