Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after Burnley announced that Sean Dyche had signed a new four-year contract at Turf Moor.
What’s the story?
Well, the man who nearly always seems to be linked to managerial vacancies at Selhurst Park has now committed himself to the Clarets.
Dyche was a strong contender to replace Roy Hodgson over the summer, with 90min even claiming that Steve Parish wanted to hire him.
However, Josh Harris and David Blitzer weren’t as keen.
According to the Mirror, Dyche was even being eyed by the Eagles after Sam Allardyce resigned in 2017.
The 50-year-old has been of interest to Crystal Palace for a while now, hence why supporters of the south Londoners have reacted to this news.
Crystal Palace fans won’t mind Sean Dyche staying at Burnley

Over the summer, some Crystal Palace fans wanted Dyche in SE25 after watching a video of the Englishman explaining his philosophy.
Now, however, we’re sure those fans won’t mind one bit about him staying at Burnley until 2025.
Parish has overseen a youthful, exciting overhaul this summer.
Patrick Vieira has arrived, and introduced an energetic, attack-minded approach which supporters were absolutely desperate for, following years of dire football under Hodgson.

With the Frenchman’s arrival, flair players such as Odsonne Edouard and Michael Olise have also been signed.
Can you imagine Dyche managing the likes of Edouard, Olise, Wilfried Zaha and Ebere Eze?
With all due respect to his ability, we don’t think they’re the players for his style.
Nevertheless, let’s see what the Crystal Palace fans on Twitter have been saying about Burnley’s announcement…
