Ray Parlour has said on talkSPORT (8:12am, November 26, 2021) that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli will not join Newcastle United in the January transfer window.

The former Arsenal midfielder believes that a potential transfer for Alli to Newcastle could happen for next season.

Parlour has suggested that Alli is not the kind of player that the Magpies need at the moment.

Parlour’s verdict on Alli to Newcastle transfer

The Englishman said about Alli on talkSPORT (8:12am, November 26, 2021): “They don’t really need players like that.

“They want people who are going to graft and get them out of the hole they are in. Maybe next season.”

Could Dele Alli join Newcastle?

Earlier this month, Eurosport reported that Newcastle want to sign Alli from Premier League rivals Spurs in the January transfer window.

SPORT in Spain reported earlier this month about the Magpies’ interest in the 25-year-old.

The England international has been struggling for a while now.

It does not seem that Alli could get back to his best under new Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte.

Well, not at the moment anyway.

A loan move to Newcastle could be beneficial for Alli.

Just look at what happened with Joe Willock last season.

The midfielder was struggling for playing time at Arsenal, but he became a key player for Newcastle and helped hem stave off relegation.
