Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to make a claim about Celtic, after John Kennedy oversaw a 1-1 draw against Aberdeen yesterday.

After Leigh Griffiths netted a late equaliser, a Celtic fanpage called The Celtic Bhoys suggested that the Hoops only use players set to be at the club next season.

The comment was made with the likes of Scott Brown set to leave, while Jonjoe Kenny, Mohamed Elyounoussi, Shane Duffy and Diego Laxalt will return to their parent clubs.

Additionally, the likes of Odsonne Edouard could also leave.

As a result, Sutton suggested that Celtic might not even be able to name a starting XI if they only used players set to stay in Glasgow next term.

Make no mistake about it – this is a massive summer for Celtic.

Peter Lawwell is leaving, Neil Lennon still hasn’t been replaced, and clearly, the playing staff is in need of major surgery.

It’s genuinely a huge rebuilding job for the Bhoys.

In our view, this rebuild shouldn’t involve as many loan players as Celtic currently have on the books.

While it’s fun to see loanees arrive from AC Milan and the Premier League, it’s just a short-term fix.

If they impress, they usually cost a fair bit as the parent club is aware of their asset’s rise in value.

If they flop, then it just means Celtic need to go back into the market to solve the same issue.
