Lucas Moura has stated on his Instagram story that he has ‘maximum respect’ for his former Tottenham Hotspur boss, Jose Mourinho.

Over the weekend, Mourinho re-united with Tottenham when his Roma side recorded a 1-0 win over Antonio Conte’s men in a pre-season friendly.

Mourinho had some kind words to say about his former club after the game, as he singled out the club’s South American superstar, Moura.

The ball-carrying expert might be a bit-part player under Conte, but he was a favourite and a popular pick for Mourinho when he was at Hotspur way.

Nonetheless, following Mourinho’s kind words about Moura, he responded with the following message, as he posted on his IG story.

“Always a pleasure meeting you, mister,” said Moura. “Maximum respect.”

THAT RUTHLESS DANIEL LEVY CALL

At Tottenham, Daniel Levy is known to do things his way and his way only, even if it means upsetting fans or becoming an unpopular figure.

Levy’s call to sack Mourinho one week before Tottenham’s League Cup final against Manchester City is right up there with the ‘what on earth are you doing?’ moments.

Yes, the north London outfit have picked themselves up under Conte, big time, but at the end of the day, if this doesn’t end well with the Italian, then the limelight will be back on Levy.

However, one thing that can’t be disputed is how he has backed Conte in the summer transfer market, including spending £60 million on Richarlison, who will be expected to start as a back-up.

That’s unheard of from Tottenham’s man in the boardroom, but a sign of how much the English businessman believes in what road the club’s trophy-laden coach is taking them down.
