Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with the exciting young forward.

According to a recent report from German magazine Kicker, Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in Freiburg striker Maximilian Philipp this summer, with the player’s agent denying a deal has already been done to take the player to RB Leipzig in the close season.
Philipp has suffered niggling injuries this year, but he has still managed to find the net nine times in 24 matches.
While that is not the outstanding goal-scoring return of some of Europe’s top forwards, he is an effective secondary striker who could form an effective long-term partnership with Harry Kane at White Hart Lane.
While the player’s agent, Dirk Pietroschinsky, has denied a move is already sealed for this summer, Kicker claims he confirmed that English clubs are interested in his client, while refusing to name names.
Whoever else is interested, Tottenham would be wise to plan a bid of their own.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino needs to make the right signings in the next few months to build on another impressive campaign and, at 23, Philipp certainly fits the bill.
RB Leipzig are making a habit of signing some of the most exciting young talent around and if Tottenham do not move fast, they may swoop in and steal a target Spurs were first linked with back in January.
Philipp’s versatility could be key in any potential move, with the 23-year-old able to play as a centre forward, a secondary striker or on either flank.
