The future of Maxime Colin at Brenford is currently in doubt and Sunderland should take full advantage of the situation by making a move for the right-back.

Maxime Colin has recently rejected a new contract offer to extend his stay at Brentford (Sky Sports) and is unsure of his future.
The French defender could be heading for the exit door at Griffin Park and Sunderland would be wise to sign the 25-year-old as they prepare for the summer squad overhaul.
Colin has made 61 appearances for Brentford
The 25-year-old made 40 appearances in all competitions for the Bees this season and scored four goals. Despite being a mainstay in Brentford’s back line, Colin is unsure of what intentions the club holds for him after signing a new right-back in Henrik Dalsgaard.
As reported by Get West London, Colin has chosen not to extend his current deal at the club and talks have stalled between the player and the club.
“I knew one month or so ago that they were looking for a new right-back,” he said.
“I can’t say the reason they signed him. The question is for the directors of football. They wanted a new right-back.
“I can’t say that if they bring in a right-back it’s because they want me to leave or they expect me to leave. I don’t know.
“We were talking about a new contract but I haven’t signed anything yet. They offered me something but I didn’t accept. We are still talking but not much at the moment.”

Now would be the perfect time for Sunderland to swoop for the full back. Brentford may decide to cash in on Colin if they deem Dalsgraad is ready to take his place.
A move for Colin would represent good value for money as he has adequate experience in the Championship and still has the potential to improve. He is a more direct full back who has proved his capability of providing an attacking outlet.
Sunderland fans will be keen to see their side play a more attacking style of football in England’s second tier and Colin will certainly fit this mould.
