The talented Sunderland goalkeeper made some fine stops in the U23 fixture against Tottenham.

Sunderland have focused on being resolute defensively under new manager Chris Coleman and that appears to have transmitted itself to the club’s U23 side, who held their Tottenham Hotspur counterparts to a goalless draw in a hard-fought away game last night.
Although Tottenham posed a significant attacking threat, Sunderland managed to hold on, with goalkeeper Max Stryjek making several impressive stops, as reported by the club’s official website.

Stryjek was on loan at League Two side Accrington Stanley earlier in the season but the deal was cut short due to a hamstring injury.
The Poland youth international has worked hard to get back to full fitness and he will be delighted to have kept a clean sheet against a Tottenham side that threatened the Sunderland goal with regularity.

Stryjek did well to thwart Shayon Harrison in the first half, and made an excellent double save from Anthony Georgiou as Tottenham were left hugely frustrated.
Stryjek will hope that his impressive display won’t have gone unnoticed by scouts as he looks to potentially head out on loan again when the transfer window reopens in January.
