The 21-year-old has been at the club since 2015 and it is time he was given the chance to solve Sunderland’s goalkeeping dilemma.

Max Stryjek has been on Wearside since 2015, playing most of his football in the youth sides.
But after last season’s catastrophic Championship campaign, filled with goalkeeping errors and blunders, it is about time the 21-year-old was given his chance in the senior side.
The youngster has shown promise in the youth ranks and new manager Jack Ross may well call upon the Polish stopper to be his number one between the sticks.

However, Sunderland would likely need to get rid of one of their three ‘keepers in the summer transfer window to allow Stryjek a pathway into the first-team.
Lee Camp, Jason Steele and Robin Ruiter all featured in a dismal campaign last season for the Wearsiders and many fans grew sick of the trio after countless errors, costing the Black Cats a number of precious points.

Stryjek should have arguably been given his opportunity halfway through the 2017/18 season, but neither Chris Coleman nor Simon Grayson called upon the youngster.
Despite looking out of favour, Stryjek could be the man to take the number one jersey and cement his place as one of Sunderland’s goalkeeping favourites.
