Wigan Athletic-owned Sunderland midfielder Max Power has taken to Twitter to express his delight at returning to action for the Black Cats.
Power, who joined League One club Sunderland on loan from Championship side Wigan in the summer transfer window, was in action against Port Vale on Sunday afternoon.
The 25-year-old midfielder came on as a substitute in the 71st minute of the FA Cup first-round tie at Vale Park, as Jack Ross’s side won 2-1.
It was the former Tranmere Rovers star’s first competitive appearance for the Black Cats after serving a five-match suspension.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Vale Park on Sunday afternoon, hosts Port Vale had 38% of the possession, took 11 shots of which two were on target, and earned three corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Sunderland had 62% of the possession, took 13 shots of which five were on target, and earned six corners, according to BBC Sport.
Power has taken to Twitter to express his delight at making his comeback for the Black Cats, with some Sunderland fans responding to his message.
