West Ham United should not hesitate to bring the German to the Premier League this summer.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini has already been extremely busy at the London Stadium this summer, bringing in a whole host of new faces, but his business should be far from finished.
The Hammers are crying out for another attacking midfielder, what with Manuel Lanzini being ruled out for the entirety of the season.
Ideally, Pellegrini would like to bring someone who can operate in a variety of positions along the front-line, and with this in mind, he should consider a move for free agent Max Meyer.
The 22-year-old German’s contract with Schalke expired at the end of last season, and his availability on a free transfer makes it a no-brainer for West Ham to move for him this summer.
He is incredibly skilful, and can operate on either flank or in the number 10 position.
Standing at just 5ft 8in tall, Meyer has a low centre of gravity – something that makes him incredibly hard to defend against, and he would offer Pellegrini an entirely different option in the final third.

Meyer has a lot to prove, and will be desperate to show that he is worthy of a recall for the national side, having missed out on the World Cup in Russia this summer, and that kind of hunger would surely help him succeed at West Ham.
The four-capped Germany international is still so young as well, meaning that he will surely only get better, and if Pellegrini manages to bring him to the London Stadium for free, it would surely be considered as one of the deals of the summer.
