Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers reportedly want Max Lowe.

If rumours are believed, Rangers want to sign Max Lowe.

The 22-year-old has dazzled at Aberdeen on loan from Derby County this season, but Rangers want thim at Ibrox, according to The Daily Record.

As of now, left-back is the weak link in Gerrard’s best XI.

Even when Borna Barisic has been fit, he hasn’t been outstanding following his £2.2 million move to the Gers last summer.

A tidy, capable and consistent left-back might complete the puzzle for Gerrard – and Lowe may be the missing piece of the jigsaw.

Gerrard is strong in every other area – goalkeeper, centre-back, midfield and up front – at the moment, but left-back has been a problem.

It’s been such a problem that Andy Halliday, a central midfielder, has even filled in there on quite a few occasions. Jon Flanagan will finish the season in that role, but long term he isn’t the answer.

On the other hand, Lowe might be and if Gerrard can sign him, and keep the rest of the squad together for the most part, then Rangers will be much stronger next year.
