There are not many fighters who know more about Alexander Volkanovski than Max Holloway does.
The former featherweight champion is 0-3 against Volkanovski, who will be putting his title on the line again at UFC 305 in Sydney.
In Miami last April, ‘The Great’ began his second reign as the 145lb champion at UFC 314 by outpointing Diego Lopes.
Now, they are set to face off once more for UFC gold at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.
Max Holloway picks Alexander Volkanovski to beat Diego Lopes at UFC 325

Max Holloway has plenty of respect for Diego Lopes, but he’s backing Alexander Volkanovski to come out on top in their upcoming title fight.
Holloway pointed to the differences in high-level experience between the two, favouring the current featherweight champion.
On his YouTube channel, ‘Blessed’ said: “I feel like Alex has something we don’t know because Alex has been going around saying he’s gonna make this fight look super easy.
“I think he wants to turn around quick and fight.
“At the end of the day, I can’t go against Alex.
“Diego is an animal, don’t get me wrong. Diego is sick, he’s an animal.
“But I’m leaning towards Alex just because of his overall experience.”
Max Holloway gearing up for title defence
Holloway is back in training camp as he gets ready to defend his BMF title for the first time.
The 34-year-old is set to face Charles Oliveira in the main event of UFC 326 on March 7.
After his initial 2015 bout against Holloway, Oliveira faced heavy criticism, with the crowd booing him and labelling him a “quitter”.
That fight ended quickly, with Holloway winning by TKO after Oliveira suffered a neck injury just over a minute and a half into their UFC Saskatchewan main event.
Now, more than a decade later, Oliveira will look to even the score and make another run at lightweight contention.
