Max Gradel has offered his opinion on the huge news about Leeds United.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are officially heading back to the Premier League after their promotion was confirmed on Friday night.

West Bromwich Albion’s defeat at Huddersfield means that it’s impossible for Leeds to finish outside the top two in the Championship.

The Elland Road club have been absent from the top flight for 16 long years.

United even had a stint in League One during one spell of their decline a decade ago, and Gradel, who was part of the squad that got them promoted back to the Championship, is clearly delighted to see his former club back where they belong.

Getting into the Premier League is one thing, but staying there is another and when the smoke clears, Victor Orta and Bielsa will know that they need major reinforcements.

But that’s another day’s work. For now, everybody affiliated with Leeds should be absolutely buzzing over what has been a fairytale season for the West Yorkshire giants.
