Stranraer goalkeeper Max Currie has stated on Twitter that Rangers defender Joe Worrall – signed on loan from Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window – is worse than former Ibrox man Karl Svensson.
Currie, a former youth player with Rangers who is now at Stranraer, made the comment after Rangers’ 1-1 draw with Dundee in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
Worrall started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, and the performance of the 21-year-old defender left much to be desired.
The Forest-owned defender struggled throughout the game and lacked confidence at the back.
Former Swedish central defender Svensson played for Rangers during the 2006-07 season and struggled during his spell at Ibrox.
Currie, 21, wrote on Twitter after the match on Sunday: “Joe Worrall is worse than Karl svensson.”

The 1-1 draw with Dundee means that Rangers are now second in the Scottish Premiership table with 31 points from 16 matches, two points behind leaders and bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have played 15 games.
Steven Gerrard’s side will return to action on Thursday evening when they take on Rapid Vienna away from home in the Europa League Group G.
