The Tottenham Hotspur hitman is widely regarded to be one of the world’s best strikers.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters yesterday, and insisted that Harry Kane is not irreplaceable, although he did label him as one of the best players in Europe, as quoted by Football.London.
The 25-year-old is arguably the best out-and-out hitman on the continent, and he has been sensational for Spurs over the past few years, racking up an incredible 153 goals in 233 appearances in all competitions.
Kane is without question Tottenham’s most important player, and has played all of his side’s Premier League and Champions League games so far this season.
Pochettino, though, insisted that he would be prepared to rest Kane at some point.
The Argentine spoke to reporters yesterday, and insisted that the England international is not irreplaceable, as quoted by Football.London:
“At the moment we see him with plenty of energy and that is why he plays. He is not irreplaceable, but if he feels well and with energy then Harry is one of the best players in Europe and there is no point to rest him of he is okay to play. There is no point.”
Tottenham head to the east Midlands to take on Leicester City tonight, and Pochettino would be taking a huge risk by resting Kane, considering the fact that they cannot afford anything other than a win against the Foxes.
