Tottenham Hotspur have experienced a really difficult last couple of months.

Tottenham have been rather underwhelming over the past few months.
They have fallen well out of contention in the race for the Premier League title, and it could be suggested that they are lucky to be in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have lost seven of their last 14 games in all competitions, and the Argentine pointed to a lack of strength-in-depth as a potential reason why they have struggled recently, as quoted by Football.London:
“The circumstances we have in the team make it tougher to fight for our objectives. It’s so tough. Liverpool and Manchester City have unbelievable squads, they arrive in a very good condition at the end of the season. It’s easier to keep going, with the motivation to keep going.”
Could the Argentine’s comments have been a hint to Daniel Levy regarding any potential summer recruitment at Tottenham?

Spurs surely have to spend big this summer, if they are to achieve success over the course of the next few years.
Another world-class striker and a top quality central midfielder surely feature on Pochettino’s list of priorities this summer, but whether Levy will back the Tottenham boss remains to be seen.
They do have a lavish new stadium to pay for after-all, and unfortunately for Spurs fans, clearing that debt might just be their club’s priority over the next few years.
