Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s game against Crystal Palace on Sunday, and responded when asked if Lucas Moura will start against the Eagles, as quoted by Football.London.

The Brazilian joined Tottenham from Paris Saint-Germain last month on transfer deadline day, and started his first game for his new club against Rochdale in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Moura scored before being substituted after 70 minutes during his side’s 2-2 draw at Spotland, and he showed the Spurs fans glimpses of his incredible talent.

Tottenham fans will be desperate to see the Brazilian winger in action once again on Sunday, but whether he will be 100 per cent ready having rarely played this season remains to be seen.

Pochettino spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference today, and responded when asked whether he intends to play Moura from the start at Selhurst Park on Sunday, as quoted by Football.London:

Tottenham's Argentinian coach Mauricio Pochettino looks on during a training session at Allianz Stadium in Turin on February 12, 2017 on the eve of their UEFA Champions League football...

“We need to assess him because he played 70 minutes after a long, long period that he didn’t play. We need to assess him. We’ll see. We have another training session tomorrow and we need to assess all the players. We have nearly everyone fit, nearly 24 players in a position to be selected, and of course we need to assess everyone and then we need to pick 18 players to play against Palace on Sunday.”

Moura’s arrival in north London has given Spurs a huge boost as they head into the final third of their campaign, and he will surely be desperate to prove his worth at Palace.

Tottenham will be looking to move into the top four with a win over Roy Hodgson’s men, and keep pace in the race for second position in the Premier League table.
