Tottenham Hotspur’s Kieran Trippier has been linked with a move to Everton in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur unveil the signing of Kieran Trippier

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has not confirmed whether or not Kieran Trippier will be offered a new contract, as reported by Football.London.

Trippier has been at Tottenham since 2015 and has a contract with the North London outfit until June 2020, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

ESPN recently reported that the 26-year-old defender will be offered a new deal. The right-back has been linked with a move away from Spurs in the summer transfer window, with The Sun reporting of Everton’s interest in him.

“Kieran still has three years, but the good thing now is that we are all focused in trying to finish the season,” Pochettino told Football.London when asked if Trippier will sign a new contract with Tottenham.

“The day after Hull we can start to speak about all the things that will maybe happen at the club next season. Today all the players, the board, the staff, we’re all focused to give our best and finish in best way.

“There’s no point today speaking about things that can only affect the team in a negative way. That is another rumour that I cannot speak about.”

Trippier is the second-choice right-back at Tottenham at the moment, with Kyle Walker having established himself in the starting lineup.

However, the England international has been linked with a move away from Spurs in the summer, with The London Evening Standard crediting Manchester City with interest in the 26-year-old.

If Walker does leave Tottenham, then it would make sense for Tottenham to make Trippier the first-choice right-back and hand him a new deal.

Trippier joined Tottenham from Burnley in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £3.5 million.
