The Tottenham Hotspur manager is a big fan of Everton boss Marco Silva.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media yesterday, ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with Everton on Sunday, and offered high words of praise for Marco Silva and the job that he is doing at Goodison Park, as quoted by Football.London.
The Toffees seem to be a totally different animal this season under the guidance of Silva, and they currently sit in eight spot in the Premier League table, just two points adrift of sixth placed Manchester United.
Everton will have their work cut-out on Sunday against Tottenham, however, with Pochettino’s side currently playing some of the best football in England, if not Europe.
The Argentine spoke to reporters yesterday, and raved about the job being done by Marco Silva at Everton, labelling him as a ‘very good coach’, as quoted by Football.London:
“Everton have a lot of quality players. A great squad and Marco Silva’s doing a fantastic job. He’s a very good coach. Of course, always important project when you arrive at a new club, you need time. They are doing a good job and they have very good players. It will be tough to play Everton at Goodison Park.”
Everton face a vitally important few weeks that could end up defining their season, and if they manage to take 10 points or more from their four games between now and January 1st, they could very well end the Christmas period in sixth spot in the table.
