Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has suggested that he will rotate his squad heavily in the coming weeks.

Mauricio Pochettino has told Football London that Tottenham Hotspur will use ‘all the players’ in the coming weeks, which surely must suggest that Troy Parrott’s debut is imminent.

Tottenham face a stretch where they are very busy, with seven games lined up in 21 days.

Pochettino’s side will compete across three competitions during this time, with Tottenham facing games in the Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup.

And Pochettino’s comments must offer hope to Parrott, as he waits for his first-team chance.

The Spurs boss said: “In 21 days we play seven games and all need to be ready to play. We are going to use all the players. If not, it is impossible to keep the level we want to show for every single game. Of course when you have a big squad and big names it’s so unfair to only play with 11 and you need to give games to the players.

“Tomorrow there will be changes for different reasons but the focus must be in the quality of the collective performance and be sure we are going to perform in our best way.”

Parrott may not be likely to start for Tottenham against Olympiacos in the Champions League this evening, but it is surely only a matter of time before he gets the nod.

Pochettino did recently suggest that Parrott had senior options ahead of him, but he looks to be Tottenham’s second choice as an out and out striker, following Fernando Llorente’s departure.

Harry Kane won’t be expected to start every one of Tottenham’s upcoming games, so Parrott must feel he has a real chance of breaking into Pochettino’s team now.

Spurs face Colchester United in the League Cup in a week’s time, and that looks like the game the 17-year-old may finally be given his long awaited debut in.
