Tottenham Hotspur right-back Serge Aurier won’t feature this evening in the Champions League.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told Football London that Serge Aurier has not traveled to Holland, even though he is fit.

Aurier has been a big miss for Tottenham in recent weeks, with injury keeping him sidelined.

Kieran Trippier has struggled for Spurs, and Aurier could have had an opportunity to nail down the right-back spot in Pochettino’s starting line-up.

However, the £23 million right-back (BBC Sport) has missed out on playing for Tottenham over recent weeks.

And he won’t be making his comeback against Ajax in the Champions League this evening, even though Erik Lamela could feature.

“Lamela is okay, he will train today. Serge is ok, but he’s not here,” Pochettino said.

Trippier is almost certain to start for Tottenham in the Dutch capital tonight, with Aurier not in Pochettino’s side’s squad.

Tottenham need to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first-leg if they are to make it through to the final.

Spurs will meet Liverpool in Madrid, if they do manage to topple Ajax.
