The Tottenham Hotspur boss has worked wonders in north London.
When speaking exclusively to Catalunya Radio, Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino insisted that he is committed to the north London club, but suggested that there are only three jobs that he would consider taking in the future.
The Argentine took over at Spurs in the summer of 2014, and he has totally transformed the club into perennial challengers for major honours both domestically and on the continent.
Tottenham are now an absolute pleasure to watch, and the most impressive thing about what Pochettino has done is that he has managed to take them to an elite level, without spending lavish amounts of money.
In fact, Spurs have not signed a single player over the past one-and-a-half seasons.
That all looks set to change this summer, with Jack Clarke closing in on a move to Tottenham, and deals for the likes of Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso real possibilities.
Pochettino spoke exclusively to Catalunya Radio, and suggested that he will only consider three jobs when he does eventually leave Spurs at some point in the future:
“I gave my word to renew with Tottenham. Of course, it is a dream to train a club like Madrid, go to the Argentine team one day or go back to Espanyol one day, but I did not consider anything beyond Tottenham at that time.”
Pochettino still has plenty of unfinished business at Tottenham, and if he is given the funds to strengthen his squad this summer, there is no reason why he cannot guide his side to a new era of success over the next few years.
And there is every chance that he will be in charge of Spurs for many years yet to come.
