Tottenham Hotspur bounced back to beat Brighton and Hove Albion.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has spoken to Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville, telling him that his Spurs side have rediscovered the need to fight for each other.
Spurs kicked off their season with three wins in a row, but a 3-0 thrashing of Manchester United bizarrely sparked a troubling run of form.
Having led 1-0 at Watford, Spurs lost 2-1 in a shock collapse, before being beaten 2-1 by Liverpool, in a game which they should have lost by a greater margin.
Tottenham’s troubles continued last week as they were beating Inter Milan 1-0, but fell apart late on and ended up losing 2-1 for a third straight game, conceding a last-minute winner.
That made Saturday’s game at Brighton and Hove Albion vital, as Pochettino had never lost four games in a row as Spurs manager before, and his side didn’t let him down this time.
Harry Kane and Erik Lamela found the net to put Spurs 2-0 up at the Amex Stadium, before Anthony Knockaert pulled one back for the hosts, with Tottenham seeing the game out properly this time.

Now, Pochettino has spoken to Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville about his side, and suggested that his players have rediscovered the need to fight for each other again, building their confidence back up, whilst noting that he felt his players became complacent after beating Manchester United – but now feels Spurs will be on their way back to top form after the win at Brighton.
“I am happy because the spirit of the team recovered that feeling that you need – to be all together and fight together,” said Pochettino. “The performance was much, much better. It’s a good point to start and rebuild the confidence and trust in the way that we play. Confidence is so important in football. It was a difficult few games, but I think the team realises now that we cannot underestimate the competitions.”
“The Premier League of course, to beat Manchester United was like, ‘Okay, the job was done’, and I felt that straight away after Manchester United. That is why now we realise that we need to increase our level. Of course, we need time to adapt but I am happy after Brighton. We won the game and it was fantastic for us,” he added.
