The Danish international has been in good form recently, but Poch believes there’s more to come.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to the press this week ahead of the side’s meeting with Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup.
During his conversation with the gathered media he spoke about the recent form of Danish international Christian Eriksen.
The Dane struggled for form at the start of the season but has been flourishing recently after the tactical reshuffle at White Hart Lane.
But despite Pochettino’s belief in Eriksen’s obvious ability – he believes that there is still more to come from the 24-year-old.
Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen reacts
He is quoted by ESPN as stating:
“I think he is one of the best creative players in the Premier League.
“But that doesn’t mean he cannot achieve a better level. We are here to push him to improve every day and achieve a different level.
“I think the whole team has improved in the last two years. We still need to improve a lot but the way that we are is perfect personally for him.
“He has showed very good performances in the last few months and we are very happy. But it is true, always in football it is never enough and he can improve.”
Eriksen has been fantastic in recent months but his maturity and apparent longevity makes it easy to forget just how young he still is.
Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen scores their first goal
He remains short of his best years in the game and Tottenham Hotspur fans can certainly get excited about that.
At the start of the season he struggled to find his best form, but he has now found his place in the Tottenham team and has been providing some of the most consistent performances for Pochettino’s men.
If he can improve even further, then Tottenham fans will have a lot to get excited about.
