Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has suggested to Football.London that Juan Foyth could feature against Leicester City this weekend.

Spurs will take on Leicester at the Wembley Stadium in London in their final Premier League game of the season on Sunday afternoon.

The 20-year-old central defender has made only a handful of appearances for the North London outfit this season, but none in the league.

Tottenham boss Pochettino has suggested that the Argentina Under-20 international could make his Premier League debut against Leicester.

Pochettino told Football.London when asked if Foyth could make his debut for Tottenham against Leicester: “There is many temptations to give the possibilities to many players to play that don’t play consistently during the season but at the same time it is in our hands to finish third.

“I think Juan Foyth deserves to play and he is doing fantastic and I will repeat that so maybe, I am thinking, maybe it is is not crazy to see a player like him or Kyle Walker-Peters in the starting XI.”

Looking forward

Foyth is a very talented and promising young defender who has done well for Tottenham this season when he has been given the chance.

The Argentine centre-back is one for the future, and it will be interesting to see how he plays against Leicester, if indeed he is given the chance.

The youngster, who earns £18,000 per week as salary according to Spotrac.com, joined Tottenham from Estudiantes in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £8 million.
