Winks is a very talented midfielder who has played in Europe with Tottenham before, and he would not be a gamble for Pochettino.

The 21-year-old is still very young and is developing as a footballer, but he has performed well in many matches.

The England Under-21 international is a reliable player who will do his job exactly as he is told.

Tottenham are a much better team than Apoel are, and if he starts, then Winks should make the most of the chance and produce a memorable performance.

Spurs won 3-2 against West Ham United away from home at the London Stadium in the Premier League at the weekend.
