Tottenham Hotspur will face West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League this weekend.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has suggested to The Hertfordshire Mercury that Christian Eriksen has returned from international duty disappointed.
Spurs will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on West Bromwich Albion away from home at The Hawthorns in the Premier League.
Eriksen is likely to feature in the match, as the Denmark international attacking midfielder is a key player for Spurs.
The 24-year-old was involved in international matches with Denmark this month.
Age Hareide’s side suffered a 3-2 defeat to Poland away from home in their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification UEFA Group E game before losing 1-0 to Montenegro in Copenhagen.
Pochettino has suggested that Eriksen has come back from international duty disappointed.
The Tottenham manager has also stated that modern managers have to be psychologists.
“The players go away and now they come, like Christian is coming back very disappointed with the last result, or the England players as well,” Pochettino told The Hertfordshire Mercury. “Now our job is to be more than coaches, to be psychologists too.”
Tottenham are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 17 points from seven matches, just a point behind leaders Manchester City.
Eriksen has yet to score in the league this season, but the former Ajax attacking midfielder has created 14 chances in six league matches.
