Tottenham Hotspur are in Champions League action tonight.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told The Guardian that he trusts trio Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen and Christian Eriksen completely.
Spurs kick off their Champions League campaign this evening, heading to Greece to take on Olympiakos in their first group stage game.
Having reached the final of the competition last season, Spurs will hope to go one better this time around, even if few are actually backing them to do so.
Summer signings Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon have all been struggling with injuries, meaning Pochettino’s side currently doesn’t look any stronger than it did at the end of last season.
However, Spurs did keep former Ajax trio Alderweireld, Vertonghen and Eriksen at the club this summer, despite doubts about their futures.
All three are out of contract at the end of the season, meaning they could walk away for free, and this season may well prove to be their last hurrah together at Spurs.

Now, Pochettino has defiantly admitted that he trusts them massively to provide full commitment to the cause having been asked about their contract situations, suggesting ‘we will see what happens’ with the trio.
Pochettino added that nobody is really making Spurs a contender for the Champions League, but he doesn’t care what anybody on the outside of Tottenham thinks, he’s just focused on his players.
“The trust is massive and all that was affecting different players is now in the past,” said Pochettino. “At the end of the season, we will see what happens [with those players]. We are focused on trying to perform. No one today will make us one of the contenders to be in the final but that is normal. The most important is to show our quality. I don’t care what people think – if we are contenders or not,” he added.
