Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the media yesterday, ahead of his side’s clash with Watford on Sunday, and surprisingly stated that he was so disappointed after his side’s superb 3-0 win away at Manchester United on Monday night, as quoted by Football.London.

Spurs were clinical against United, but there were a few instances in the first half where Jose Mourinho’s men were really on top, and could have easily scored a couple of goals.

And that was what annoyed Pochettino.

The Argentine sat down for his pre-match press conference yesterday, and said that his mood was not great in the aftermath of his side’s win at Old Trafford, as quoted by Football.London:

“My mood wasn’t great. I was so disappointed. I think we need to improve our performance. The first half I wasn’t happy and I translated that to the players. We need to fight against the perception. When you compare the perception and the reality, we need to talk about the reality, and the reality was in the first half we can concede one, two or three goals.”

Next up for Tottenham is a trip to Vicarage Road to take on Watford on Sunday, and with both teams heading into the game with 100 per cent records, something has got to give.

Whilst Poch will be looking for a good performance, taking all three points is really all that matters, and it would take a brave man to bet against Spurs doing just that.
