Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told Football.London that not many people realise the magnitude of the project that Daniel Levy has taken on with the new stadium.

Levy has been criticised by a number of Tottenham supporters this season, after failing to deliver any signings in the summer.

There were questions asked about Levy’s ambition, as he failed to back Pochettino with any money to spend.

However, the Spurs boss insists that Levy is working very hard on the stadium, and does not always get the appreciation he deserves.

“The chairman is suffering a lot. He is so tired about work. The last few months he didn’t sleep because he is trying to deliver the stadium,” said Pochettino.

“He is trying to make everyone happy but it’s a massive project. I think people don’t realise the magnitude of the project and how difficult it is to manage everything.

Daniel Levy takes his seat in the stand for the game during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Sunderland at White Hart Lane on September 18, 2016 in London, England.

“Everyone is disappointed because we are still not playing there but the day we move everyone is going to realise how massive the project was and how good the facilities are.”

Tottenham’s stadium has been badly delayed, which has caused frustration from the club’s supporters.

Spurs were expected to move into their new ground at the start of the campaign, but they are still playing at Wembley.

Tottenham are now hopeful of playing their first game at their new home in February.

Levy may also provide Pochettino with some money to invest in January, with Spurs on the look out for new additions ahead of the transfer window.
